Globalization vs. Diversity: truth between reality and delusion
Perhaps the most accurate meaning would be given to “globalization” is the one that we can deduce from the linguistic structure of the word. “To globalise” means simply “to make some thing global” and “wide spread”. Therefore the word “globalization implies the process, or a set of integrated processes, of moving an object, be it in the tangible or abstract form, from a local/national level to a global/ international level. This movement, if theorised and carried out consciously, becomes synonymous with the word “globalism”.
The problem here lies behind this duality in meaning: On the one hand, globalization has got a general meaning in the sense that it serves for everything; truth and delusion, authority and power, safety and threat, Allah and devil…
On the other hand, globalization means specifically dominance and power. Under such specific theoretical scope, the survival is for the fittest, and the fittest is the most powerful among the same species.
If we looked into the relationship between globalisation/dominance and reality, we would find out that truth is the sole victim on the battlefield. Mass media, in this vain, is the key instruments of power and destroyment. It’s being at the palm of Exclusivists, pragmatists, Extremists, Subjectivists, and Materialists makes it easy for them to popularise their lies and hidden greed and rage in the form of honest, ideal, innocent, and non-questionable products for consumption.
These illusions are broadcasted through different mediums of information and, more importantly, through a set of interconnected systems of deception and inculcation. An advertising show, for example, would frequently and differently exhibits the target behaviour until it becomes a part of the target audience behaviour. It is through this way that most, if not all, of our normal equations are reversed to the extent in which the “mighty” becomes the “righty”
